How to delete your data

Live Analytics — Meta App ID 2334190797356886
Operator: Live Analytics, 2 Rue Magnan, 24200 Sarlat-la-Canéda, France
Effective 17 October 2026

Ask us to delete the WhatsApp conversation data we hold about you, and we will do it within 30 days. This page explains exactly what to send and what happens next.

1. Who can ask

Anyone whose personal data we hold can ask us to delete it. In practice that means:

  • People who messaged our WhatsApp Business numbers. You can ask us to delete the conversation you had with us and everything derived from it.
  • Current and former members of our team whose reply times were recorded by the application.

You do not need an account with us, and you do not need to give a reason. The request is free.

2. How to send the request

Send an email to privacy@dinshaer.cloud with the subject line “Data deletion request”.

Send it from any address you like — we verify the request separately, as described in section 4.

If you would rather write to us, post the request to Live Analytics, 2 Rue Magnan, 24200 Sarlat-la-Canéda, France. Postal requests take longer only because of delivery; the 30-day limit in section 4 runs from the day the letter reaches us.

3. What to put in the request

So that we can find your data and confirm it is yours, include:

  • The WhatsApp phone number you messaged us from, in full international format, for example +33 6 12 34 56 78. This is the one thing we genuinely need: it is the key your data is stored under.
  • Roughly when you wrote to us, if you remember — a month is precise enough.
  • Which of our numbers you wrote to, if you contacted more than one.
  • Whether you want everything deleted, or only part of it.

Do not send identity documents, bank details or other sensitive material. We do not need them, and we will not keep them if you send them anyway.

4. What happens, and when

WhenWhat happens
Within 7 daysWe reply to confirm we received the request, and ask for anything we still need to identify your data.
Within 30 daysWe delete the data and email you confirmation of what was deleted. This is the one-month limit in Article 12(3) GDPR.
Up to 3 monthsOnly if the request is unusually complex. We will tell you before the first month is over, and explain why.
Within 35 days of deletionThe last backup containing your data is rotated out, so no copy remains anywhere.

Before deleting, we confirm the request comes from the holder of the number. Usually we do this by sending a short confirmation message to the WhatsApp number in the request and asking you to reply to it. If you cannot be reached that way we will agree another method with you. We use whatever you send for verification only, and delete it with the rest.

If we cannot identify you from the information given, we will tell you what is missing rather than simply refusing.

5. What gets deleted

DeletedDetail
Message contentThe text of every message in the conversation, and the record of any file exchanged.
Your identifiersYour WhatsApp phone number and the profile name shown to us.
Message metadataTimestamps, delivery and read records, message and conversation identifiers tied to you.
Derived recordsAny report row, export or search index entry that can be traced back to you.
BackupsRemoved as backups rotate, within 35 days of the deletion.

Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a conversation afterwards, so if you need a copy of it, ask for that first under Article 15 GDPR and we will send it before deleting.

Statistics that no longer identify anyone — for example “the median reply time in March was four minutes” — are not deleted, because once your identifiers are gone those figures are no longer personal data and cannot be linked back to you.

6. What we have to keep

In narrow cases the law requires us to keep something despite a deletion request. Where that applies we tell you which records, on what grounds, and for how long. The usual cases are:

  • Accounting records. If our exchange led to a purchase, French commercial law requires the related invoices and supporting documents to be kept for ten years. That obligation covers the transaction record, not the conversation.
  • Legal claims. If there is a live dispute or complaint, we may keep what is needed to establish or defend it, under Article 17(3)(e) GDPR, and delete it when the matter ends.
  • Proof of the deletion itself. We keep a minimal log entry recording that a request was made and carried out, with the date and a reference — not the deleted content — so that we can demonstrate compliance.

Anything outside these cases is deleted.

7. Data held by WhatsApp and Meta

Our deletion covers the copies held by us. It does not reach the copy of the conversation stored on your own phone, nor data held by Meta as the operator of WhatsApp.

  • To remove the conversation from your device, delete the chat in WhatsApp.
  • To deal with data Meta holds about you, use the tools in the WhatsApp application under Settings, or contact Meta directly. We have no ability to delete data from Meta’s systems on your behalf.

8. Deletion that happens automatically

Even without a request, the application deletes data on a schedule. A job runs daily on our servers and removes anything past its retention period:

DataDeleted after
Message content and attachment records90 days
Your phone number and profile name90 days, after which remaining records carry a reference that cannot be traced back to you
Message metadata24 months
Server access logs30 days

We also delete data when it is no longer needed for the purposes in the privacy policy, and we delete all data obtained from the WhatsApp Business Platform within 30 days if our access to that platform ends.

9. If you are not satisfied

If we refuse your request, or you think we handled it badly, tell us first at privacy@dinshaer.cloud — most problems are a missing detail we can resolve quickly.

You also have the right to complain to the French data protection authority, or to the authority in the EU country where you live or work:
